SUU graduate student Chris Holmes placed 1st in the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) 2009 National Student Media Arts Festival competition in the radio sports category. The piece was also recognized as the “Best of Festival” in the radio news category.
The story originally aired on November 8, 2008 as the “Rolling Rubber Halftime Report” during the SUU @ University of North Dakota football game, honoring SUU womens basketball coach Steve Hodson who pasted away earlier in the week after a heroic battle with cancer.
